Largely as a result of the hockey picture promotion, the sales of
Bee Hive quadrupled through the 1930's and it became the largest
selling corn syrup in Canada. Bee Hive tins were initially wrapped
with paper labels but with the advent of pre-printed metal
containers, labels became smaller, adhesive strips which could be
peeled off and redeemed.
