St. Lawrence Starch Today

BeeHive Golden Corn Syrup

By 1995, the St. Lawrence Starch Company decided to shut down its Port Credit location and sold off the property. At the same time. the Company donated its entire picture and artifact collection to the Hockey Hall in Fame in Toronto, Canada, where they plan to periodically display portions of it to the public.

The only evidence left today of the site is the original office building (although it too looks like a wreckers ball will soon take it down to make way for a condominium project). Bee Hive Golden Corn Syrup can still be purchased today in most Canadian grocery chains (imported from the U.S.A. by Best Foods).
